Welcome to Nordland Reisen. By accessing or using our website and booking our travel services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use our services.

1. Introduction

Nordland Reisen ("we," "us," or "our") is a travel agency specializing in custom itineraries and guided tours across Northern Europe. These Terms & Conditions govern the contractual relationship between you ("the Client" or "you") and Nordland Reisen regarding the use of our website and the purchase of our travel services.

2. Booking and Contract Formation

A contract between you and Nordland Reisen comes into existence only when we have issued a written confirmation of your booking, either via email or through our online booking system. This confirmation will detail the itinerary, price, and specific terms applicable to your trip.

By submitting a booking request, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of all members of your party. You accept responsibility for all payments due for all members of your party.

3. Payment Terms

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total package price is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the departure date.

Bookings within 30 days: If your booking is made less than 30 days before the departure date, the full payment is required immediately.

Prices: All prices are quoted in Euros (€) unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to alter prices due to factors beyond our control, such as significant changes in government taxes, currency fluctuations, or fuel surcharges, provided such changes are notified to you at least 20 days before departure.

4. Cancellations and Amendments

You may cancel your booking at any time, but cancellation fees will apply as follows:

• Cancellation more than 60 days before departure: Loss of deposit.
• Cancellation between 30 and 60 days before departure: 50% of the total package price.
• Cancellation less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the total package price.

Amendments: If you wish to change your booking after confirmation, we will endeavor to accommodate your request. However, an administration fee of €50 per person may apply, plus any additional costs charged by our service providers (hotels, airlines, etc.).

5. Client Responsibilities and Health Requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in good physical health to participate in the trip. Certain activities, such as hiking or winter sports, require a reasonable level of fitness. If you have any medical conditions or dietary requirements, you must inform us at the time of booking.

You are responsible for obtaining valid travel insurance that covers medical expenses, repatriation, and cancellation. You are also responsible for ensuring you possess a valid passport and any necessary visas for your destination.

6. Our Liability

Nordland Reisen acts as an intermediary between you and third-party service providers (e.g., hotels, transport companies, tour guides). We accept no liability for the failure of any third party to provide the services contracted.

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, damage, or injury arising out of or in connection with the provision of our services.

We do not accept liability for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to war, terrorism, strikes, natural disasters, or severe weather conditions.

7. Complaints

If you have a complaint during your trip, you must immediately inform our local representative or the service provider so that steps can be taken to rectify the issue. Failure to do so may affect our ability to compensate you.

If the issue is not resolved, you must submit a formal complaint in writing to Nordland Reisen within 28 days of the end of your trip. Please include your booking reference and all relevant details.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws (GDPR). By booking with us, you consent to the collection and use of your data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

All content included on the Nordland Reisen website, such as text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Nordland Reisen or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our express written permission.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hamburg, Germany.
